About the Author

Dixie Bydolek born February 1, 1986 in Stony Plain, Alberta.

Dixie began writing poetry when she was 12 years old. Her mother had moved her to BC away from every one she knew and loved. This was a time in her life where she had to hold on to every good moment and tried to let go of all the bad. At 15 years old Dixie moved back to Alberta to live with her dad, her life was changed for the better.

Poetry became somewhere she could share her feelings in her own way. Through the years she continued writing, and has now decided to share her talents with the world.

Dixie is now 29 years old and lives in a cozy condo with her husband and their 6 year old dog bailey.

I’m a little old fashioned I can’t think of a single poem that wasn’t written on paper first.
With so much technology out there I see so many authors turning in their pens and notepads for laptops and notebooks. While I do appreciate electronics I find it looses feeling. I am not inspired sitting at my computer. I’m inspired when I go for a walk at the lake or on the bus ride to work.
For myself emotion flows much more freely from a pen or pencil than from a keyboard.- 2012
